CSD is comprised of an eclectic mix of scientists, researchers, professors and business professionals. Located in the outskirts of Corvallis, Oregon, our people are constantly being inspired by the beauty of our natural surroundings. With our first product -- MoreSun Anti-reflective Coating for Solar Modules -- we are proud to be in the business of generating an additional 3 Gigawatts of power globally from existing solar power plants. In this way, we are enthusiastically pursuing the concept of Doing Well While Doing Good.
Paul Ahrens joined the CSD team in 2011, and has been leveraging his extensive experience to guide the final development and launch of the MoreSun ARC product line. Paul’s previous roles have included VP, Engineering & Technology and CEO at Synthetech, a successful fine chemical engineering startup, as well as leadership roles at several other chemical companies. Paul is an inventor, a patent-holder and holds a BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering from MIT.
Dr. Seung-Yeol Han is CSD’s Director of Research & Development and the inventor of the MoreSun ARC product. Prior to the formation of CSD Nano, Dr. Han was a professional research associate and scholar at Oregon State University and is an expert in the synthesis and deposition of nano-thin films for photovoltaic cells and other substrates. Dr. Han is a prolific author of technical papers, a multiple patent holder and holds a PhD from OSU in Chemical Engineering.
Adam Gage joined the CSD Nano team as an R&D Engineer after graduation in May 2013. His role as an R&D Engineer has focused on the optimization of thin film chemical solution deposition processes. Much of his work has gone into the development of a novel application system used to apply MoreSun anti-reflective coating to solar panels in the field. Adam received his Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.
